I actually really like the monk and appreciate him in most audio appearances. He isnt like the master or the doctor, he isn't in it for the fame, power, or to do the right thing. He is entirely in it for the money and out of the 3 timelords, is by far the most irresponsible. I love how he shrugs off everything hes ever done as if it somehow wasnt his fault. He is also the least intelligent of them, mocking the doctor for having a chemistry set in his Tardis rather than an in home theater. And where the Master clearly cares about the Doctor deep down and vice versa, The Monk couldnt give two shits about the Doctor. Some say the Doctor or the Master are the antithesis of the timelord belief system, but I think the Monk embodies that the most. I love wanting to punch his lights out at the end of every story he appears in, and I'm sorry you cant relate to that.

I would have the Master find Gallifrey like that and pretended to have destroyed it. He is between Sim and Gomez and went home to prevent Missy but found the place smashed. While investigating the ruins he uncovered the truth about The Doctor being a sometimes agent of Division. But he investigated too far and uncovered that he was the template of all Time Lords he is the Master. Division destroyed Gallifrey and were only able to do so because the Doctor exiled the bad ass time Lords like Rassilon in Hell Bent. It's her fault that the Master is now the Emperor of a dead planet.

I haven't read that many Doctor Who novels, but regardless: I would really recommend the novelisation of The Giggle (which wasn't out when this video was made) - it's quite playful, there's a lot of fourth-wall-breaking from the Toymaker, and it really captures his essence and scariness in book form while also being really fun. I've also recently started the BBC Eighth Doctor Adventures and I really, REALLY enjoy Vampire Science, the second book. More serious, and it deals a lot with the effects that travelling has on companions, trauma, and depression, as well as forgiveness and second chances.

Sevens pick is good but there is a better scene which is in the best seven story afterlife where he has to face responsibility for his mistake and what he’s done where he probably realises the price of his manipulation with his companions lives in afterlife and SPOILER WARNING has to tell Hex’s Nan that he’s died and McCoy is at the top of his game

My favorite has got to be 3 and Jo with The Master as an honorary member of that. For me, they're just the most fun to watch and I love the dynamic, but I agree for the reasons you used that they can't be top tier, the Doctor never quite comes around to being kind to her, I honestly think the Master underestimates her less than the Doctor does. She does all the character development and the Doctor staunchly refuses to be a part of anything like that. The best TARDIS team from the top five is tough because each of them embodies something great and different about what a companion on Doctor Who is and should be. If I were to move anyone *down* to A tier, it would be Amy and Rory. The stupid dick--measuring rivalry dynamic New Who can't seem to get rid of with its male companions never goes away enough for my tastes. There is something about the 4 and Romana, 10 and Donna, 12 and Clara relationships that's hard to beat; two human companions who come to be such equals to the Doctor, and the one companion in the whole series who is automatically on more even footing with him than any other companion in the series could be. I haven't seen enough of Romana to factor her evenly in, but between the other two, even though I *adore* 12 and Clara, I think that Tennant and Tate's chemistry just gives 10 and Donna something absolutely unbeatable. For me, it'd be between 10 and Donna and 2, Jamie, and Zoe. Those are my two best TARDIS teams.

Rose saving her dad was a paradox. It's not the same as a fixed point. Also, I think fixed points may be relative to the tine traveler. If the Doctor knows the outcome, the point is fixed. If the Doctor does not know the outcome, or he remembers an alternative history, then the point is not fixed. Basically, someone can go back in time and kill Hitler before he comes to power, but only if he doesn't know who Hitler is. One cant travel in tike with the intention of changing history as they know it, but they can change the history they dont know and avoid a paradox. This would explain why he can save "little people" but not historical figures. Its also why he can save a few people from Pompeii, but not the entire city. With Roses dad, she was not just changing known history, but her personal known history. Thats why those paradox eaters showed up. If the Doctor tries to change a "fixed point" then time will make an attempt to correct itself so that the changes to time are minimal. Of course the truth is that there are no actual rules to Doctor Who

I started watching Doctor Who in the mid 80’s. I live in the US so i watched Doctor Who on my local PBS station. They were running episodes from the 3rd, 4th and 5th Doctor Eras. Mostly Tom Baker episodes, so I guess I can say he is my first Doctor. So strange to see him and Pertwee ranked below Colin Baker, but then again I didn’t have easy access to any of the expanded universe material, particularly Big Finish. In fact, I never saw a single episode of Colin Baker or Sylvester McCoy until BritBox became available to me. Most people in the US during the wilderness years had never even heard of Doctor Who. My rankings reflect my experience with the show I suppose. Tenant surprised me and became my all time favorite with Tom Baker a close second.

Oddly Series 11 is my favourite 13th doctor season. Only things keeping it back for me is Aracnids and Finale. If the finale was better or a 2 parter. Just cut Aracnid. It'd be in my top 3. Hard to explain why, I love the hopefulness of the season, So many great scenes in episodes such as Rosa, Demons of the Punjab, It Takes you away.

There'd be no choice in this instance, the only thing he can do is save his friends. Maybe he plans to go back and Jack/Martha grab him as the TARDIS dematerialises. He does intend to save his original earth once he's able. A defeated lowest point 2nd act before he returns for the final Master story of the specials.

It's kind of hard listening to commentary from someone who clearly isn't old enough to know when the entertainment industry or Hollywood actually started to hate Donald trump. Anyway, Russell T Davies wouldn't have had anything to say about Donald Trump in 2011, because at that time most of the world didn't have the problems with Donald Trump that they seem to have now. Donald Trump didn't really become an issue to progressives, Democrats or Hollywood itself until he decided to run for president in 2015 as a republican. Anyways, it feels like I'm not going to waste any more time on this channel. Good luck to you.
